True!

A interesting aspect of Fidonet, is that in the early years, there were
very ¨few, then they came in, and hit close to 30% or maybe a bit more of
the net, ¨but then they left. As a rule of thumb, female sysops are about
10%. I think ¨the first female ZC was Janis?

Some areas may have more female sysops but I think the average has hit 10%
or ¨so again. In Z6, I dont think they had a female sysop before me and
never had ¨one as a *C as best as anyone remembers. Asian mentality, not
sexism in the ¨pure sense, caused lack of interest in setting up a BBS
unless 'husband' had ¨one in which case, Z6 listed the husband and she was
a 'co-sysop' (Z6 never ¨listed them both). We have a lady though in Bejing
who is thinking about ¨setting up so might grow a bit there.
