Are my connects similarly fast? I implemented what I thought Bob had
done but haven't actually been watching the screen in the couple of mail
transfers since.

BTW, what a fuckup tonight! at 15630 we got "Bad CRC", then "Garbage
count exceeded". The latter continued at intervals of 3776 or 3520 bytes
all the way to the end (125000 or so), with the bits in the middle being
done in 64 or 128 *byte* blocks! I think the whole session took
something like 20 minutes. :-(
