Hi Warren,
WJ> Well yeah, but there can't be that many peoiple going out
WJ> and buying 64s anymore.. all the kids want nintendos :)
Only because C= Oz, has long since abandoned this format, and stores
such as K-Mart dropped it. The Commodore graphics look better than
Nintendo anyway (well, not Super Nintendo).
WJ> I don't know if I think the 64 scene is
WJ> worth it anymore.. not much
The 64 scene may be slowing, but in Europe, the 64 still has a good
following. If The Part '94 was anything to go by, the 64 scene will
still be going for a while yet. There were 10 doulbe disks full of new
releases from the party. I'm still getting them all. What we see in
Australia is only a very small fraction of what's been produced
world-wide. :(
WJ> demos on other platforms.. c64 is fun, but everything has
WJ> been done before, and I think many of the elites havbe left
^^^^^^
The knockers said this before dycp, FLI graphics etc. It only takes a
little imagination to do something new. Alot of the demos I have seen
on the Amiga have been done on the 64 long ago. True it it's better,
but so it should darn well be.
The Computer Graphics Institue ??(Of God knows where) have produced
publications describing complex graphic routines, these could be done
on the 64 with a little creative licence.
WJ> deteriorating before I left--- btw who are the big aussie
WJ> groups at the moment?
Menace, Shizam.. I'm not sure of the status of the rest. There are
more, but there has been a lot of group hopping lately.
Catch Ya,
Greg ]-[arper.
