LD> These guys are one of my favourite mystery-nets at the moment

I figured you would see this. I was really interested when I ran into
these guy's. I have not heard them since. I've been working really
goofy hours plus Christmas shopping.
LD> - callsigns heard on the circuit are '0VL', '4AZ', '5HP', '5VG',
LD> '8NN' and 'ZKD', although there are at least 10 stations involved
LD> in the net.
LD> - 'ZKD' seems to be net-control
I have yet to see any o these stations.
LD> I assume these stations are located in Algeria or some other French
LD> speaking North African country. Europe as a location is unlikely.
LD> My guess is MoI Algiers, in contact with the different prefectures
LD> throughout the country.
Makes sense, since the Battle of Algiers ended in the late 50's I
think the French and their allies there are keeping an eye out
for Islamic Fundamentalists ie: Aleria, Sudan & Libya...need I say
more. They could be some type of Communication Intel monitoring
network.
LD> I hope the M-7000 can receive bit-inverted transmissions,
LD> otherwise you'll only see garbage.
I have Bit Inversion but I'm not sure what the exact setting is. I'll
run thru the available strings next time I pick them up and put them
into memory.
Thanks for All the Help.
73's and Merry Christmas.
