     Set up two seperate areas in your opus.ctl file to point to the 
same drive/directory/path. For instance, have area 1 point to e:\msgs\favored 
or whatever the massage path is. Make this area available to the users. This 
area will use the barricade file. Now, set up area 2 to point to the same 
e:\msgs\favored that area 1 points to. Set an area lock on this area that 
none of your users have. Then, set your user record to have the key matching 
the lock that you set for the area. Oh, almost forgot... area 2 has Sysop as 
an access level. :-)
 
     With this setup, your users will see area 1, but not area 2, 
on the message area menu. They will have to go through the barricade to get 
in. *You* access the area using area 2, which has no barricade, and has a 
lock set that matches your key.
