Adelaide is the capital of South Australia, a long narrow coastal city,
so most people are within a few miles of the sea. Saltwater fishing
is the go, with whiting, snapper, garfish, tommy ruffs, Aust salmon, 
mullet, leatherjackets etc. South Australia is reputed to be "the
driest state in the driest continent", & is in central Australia,
on the southern side.
Not much in the way of freshwater fishing locally, as "rivers" dry
up in summer, have European carp, though there are trout hatcheries
upstream. The River Murray, about an hour drive away, is home to
Murray Cod, callop, redfin perch, catfish etc.
