.. One fine day, Bob waffled to Dieter..

 Hello Bob,

DM> I end up doing all this buggerising around late at night, the
DM> worst time to do anything like that.

BL> My use-by time is 8:30 pm. After that, I start plugging myself into
BL> the mains and doing strange things I can never work out why I did them

Heh, heh. I can relate to that - nothing like a shocker to get
 the adrenalin pumping again.

BL> the next morning. I'm best first-thing in the morning, but I can't get
 BL> up that early.

You have a use-after date, as well as a use-by date...

DM> I have a dilemma with this Paradox database stuff, whether or
DM> not to try and keep my existing records, or start from scratch,
DM> and import later. Let alone how I'm going to tie all the
DM> related information together. PC-File was a piece of cake
 DM> compared to this.

BL> Leave your decision till midnight, and stuff it up totally. That's
 BL> what *I* always do :-)

It is always the best approach - you spend the next two weeks
figuring what the hell you did to so comprehensively screw
things up, that you end up knowing the package inside and out,
and can call yourself a consultant.

 Everyone else does :-)

BL> I like to start from scratch. So far, I've invented fire 12 times,
BL> and the wheel 32 times.

 But sex zero.

 Dieter
