After reading this whole geographical issue and seeing Michiel refusing to
admit a mistake, I tend to laugh when he makes such comments.  However him
repeating over and over again that he is a scientist or that he has the
credentials when his words, attitude and actions do nothing to lend support
to his claim, make it truly sad.  To me, if one has to constantly wave his
"credentials" around and make assertations about his
"scientific" background, it is usually the result of low self
esteem and a inate desire to appear more superior to their peers.

IOW, I have difficulty "believing" in said credentials when
confronted with his attitude, logic (or lack thereof) or behaviour.  That
he constantly brings up this subject lends me to believe he is more
pretentious and arrogant than any true scientist.
