Is the C-Dale an expensive bike? Perhaps looking how often you will ride can 
also determine the amount you want to spend on a bike. Perhaps money isn't a 
concern and you may want o look for other brands as well. I've been told that 
aluminum with time loses strength. Its life being half that of a steel bike. 
The material that are now sought for is titanium since it doesn' t rust and 
stays stiff for ever. Reynolds 853 steel is making a big comeback these days 
and will be the material of choice on the '98 Lemonds bicycle. Why are you 
looking at the Cannondale brand in particular?
