Shouldn't this be:
calc_cps = sizehere/(elapsed-start)

instead of what you wrote:
calc_cps = (sizehere/elapsed)-start

Multiplycation/division has precedence over subtraction/addition

(division sounds absolutely wrong, but what is the right word?)
