Karl,
KS>> Oh, I was thinking of a Collision Avoidance System (wondering it it
KS>> might isssue a severe bank/pitch command)...
Oh sorry, TCAS is for traffic and is based upon time. Each possible
candidate for collision is considered an intruder. This issues a Fly up or
Down Command.
No such thing for High ground etc....Unless your in a Tornado with Terrain
Following Radar......
GPWS is only an Aural Warning system not integrated as part of an
Autopilot. This system does not give any demanded angle of bank
information. "Terrain...Terrain"... / "Too Low Gear"....
"Altitude.....Altitude...." Etc....Varies between A/C Types and Whose system
is installed.
Now Windshear computers will give a fly up pitch information
to the command bars of the Flight Director system of the particular airline
has purchased this option. I know from first hand experience that Delta has
this on all L1011's.
Some windshear systems only give an aural warning w/out the Pitch info in
the Flight Director system. ($$$$) how much did they want to spend?
KS>> Yes, but the fish aren't biting yet.
Must still be a little cold in OK?
KS>> Thanks fer the poop.
Sure thing.
KS>>... I can carry 2 cups of coffee &8 donuts at the nudist camp
Must be soggy Donuts....

Tom,
