It is a good idea in some ways, you drastically reduce the variety of parts
you need to stock. If you own the vehicles you can canabolize one to get the
other going.
BUT, with one engine, you lose the different flavors of engines. You lose
the Buick torque monsters, be they small or big block. As one example.
That dare to be different isn't so different anymore when Luigi and Guido
get to the track in their Camaro and their Firebird, they both have a chevy
350 under the hoods.
