Jeff, at 19:27 on Mon, Feb 27 1995, you wrote to Bill Grimsley ... JG> I quickly scanned a message from Paul that mentioned CTS/RTS. If it isn't already set, do it now! BG> I wonder if it's that specific file itself (can't imagine why though). BG> Have you tried sending anything else? Oh shit, in that case it could very well be flow control after all. BG> More or less eliminates Bink as the problem then. JG> I'd have to agree with that. Gotta be the way my modem or serial JG> port is setup. Yep, it's almost certainly your modem IMO. I believe that Netcomm also have a setting which is called auto or fail-safe flow control, or something like that, probably &K9 if I recall correctly. Needless to say, this doesn't work properly, and &K3 is absolutely mandatory. BG> You might also try placing a MODE command as the first line in BG> your BT.CMD batch file, as follows... BG> MODE COM2:38400,N,8,1,DTR=OFF,RTS=HS,OCTS=ON,TO=ON,XON=OFF,BUFFER=ON JG> I'm sure I tried that but I'll give it another go and have a JG> closer look at the results when I get the time. Do it anyway, like right now! Exactly as entered above. Other stuff may screw around with your settings, so having it in BT.CMD makes sure that you automatically set up the comms port each time you start Binkley.
