Moin Peter,

10.11.95 11:26, you wrote a message to All:

PF> Does anyone know how the checksum in the exe header is computed?

PF> I need to know the first checksum (in the dos exe header), not
PF> the NE header crc (although, if you know how to calculate that
PF> one, I'll stash the info away...).

Offset 12h:
"word checksum of entire file" (Undocumented DOS)
"Wortpruefsumme" (Extended DOS, R.Duncan)
"negative sum of entire file" (Toolkit 2.1)

Shouldn't that combine to some usefull information? Just make some testprograms...

Tschuesz,
	Vitus
