BH>heh, well synchronet is powerful, i'll admit that. but i think it's a BH>piece. i doesn't conform to the standard or what i believe to be BH>standard (K)ey commands. and it's moving to much in the way of the BH>internet. also none of the sysops/boards i hit or very little of them BH>anyway.. do anyhting to customize the package. they add lightbars and BH>rap like tht.. big deal. renegade/telegade is better faster and more BH>reliable BH>synchronet just has more modern features and it's nice to have 32bit BH>file names when you install cexyz Personally I would have loved to have stayed with RG just due to the fact that's what I was originally running, but it didn't look at the time like they were going to have a Y2k patch in time (two to three months after Y2k doesn't count), so I switched to TG which I ran till I took the BBS down. Around the same time I went 100% Linux and didn't feel like trying to run anything in an emulated mode, so I switched to Synchronet when I went mail only. Shutdown all of the internet stuff though and keep it up just to process mail feeds. fwiw, you can edit all the menus. I just about had finished a Telegard menu set (which in my case was a modified Renegade menu set) before I lost interest. .
