To be honest, I dunno about BIN. I quit calling in January when I lost
my job (couldn't afford the long-distance phone bills). Many bird folks
left there because the sysop changed Internet providers, and the new one
could NOT provide solid mail transfers. Things that should've taken one
day were taking a week or more to get sent out, and most mail sent TO
BIN was bouncing because the provider couldn't get their server working
right. Too bad--it was a good bbs until that happened.
As for RPB itself, I hadn't been on there since last August. It was a
constant flame war back then. I got out there ONCE this past April, and
it was *still* a flame-fest. I read thru 400 posts and half of them were
worthless. I dropped the newsgroups and haven't looked back. Most of the
Internet e-mail lists are just as bad.  Conure-L is about the only
civilized one left, I believe.
