Very true. People only call a BBS for msgs and files, and you don't need
fancy stuff to do that, and I've never had a user complain about how long it
took to load my main menu on the BBS.

I had RIP completely in place here, but the updating was -so- tedious (with
the junky Ripaint programs) that I said heck with it, especially once I
realized that less than 10% of the users even had it turned on. (I think the
"Ripaint" type programs were written by people that never saw a "real" paint
program.)

The MaxFDN has traffic, but it's not as large (file-wise) as other FDNs.
It shouldn't be much of a overhead burden for anyone to pass along. :-)
