PM> Yeah, ANSI can be hard on those used to glossy HTML and Java doodads.
 PM> But it's a lot faster too.
Very true. People only call a BBS for msgs and files, and you don't need
fancy stuff to do that, and I've never had a user complain about how long it
took to load my main menu on the BBS.
PM> I only ever got RIP to work *once* during a test call to my system...
I had RIP completely in place here, but the updating was -so- tedious (with
the junky Ripaint programs) that I said heck with it, especially once I
realized that less than 10% of the users even had it turned on. (I think the
"Ripaint" type programs were written by people that never saw a "real" paint
program.)
PM> I think Robby Dittmann carries the feed... so I am hesitant to burden
PM> our mutual mail feed with having to send the same files to two boards
PM> -or I'd have hooked up already! :)
The MaxFDN has traffic, but it's not as large (file-wise) as other FDNs.
It shouldn't be much of a overhead burden for anyone to pass along. :-)
