I heard a weird warning in that it was possible for the power meter to
double bill the subscriber for the duration a generator was being used.
I can't see how this would be possible with the mains breakers out of
circuit but that warning came from a utility expert so I'm left just a
little puzzled over that comment.
Oddly enough, industrial techs here have the right to modify
pre-existing equipment but can't make any new installations. The
electricians here have a very powerful professional representation at
the governmental level which can in effect dictate the legislation.
