| subject: | Diabetes as a disAbility |
My cousin is a diabetic and he applied for the TSA as a screener... however they put him through so many hoops to try to get a job he just gave up on the job. The doctor that the TSA sent him to that did his physical made the comment... I see no reason why you can't do the job... you are in better condition than any smoker that comes in here but be ready to jump through a bunch of hoops. They wanted to get statements from every doctor he seen in the past 5 years. Wanted two years of blood sugar readings Wanted the doctors to forward two years of all of his medical records. Why isn't diabetes a protected disability in the ADA?
