Well the cabinets are not here yet ... and once they are and my space
is organized there is this great big note sitting here to get another EP

Pigment inks are usually better when embossing... however I have used both
dye and pigment inks and get different results... so it depends on what you
want as a result...
Also you are right, it could be not enough ink to adhere the ep. This is
one of those things that come with experience... knowing when you have the
right amount of ink to do what you want to achieve... getting to much can be
a messy proposition... and ruin a composition just as easily as not having
enough.
When knocking of powder... I only give a light tap with a single finger.
Of course there are still times were I knock of to much so I will touch
things up using an embossing pen and just reheating the area that needs the
fix.
