No pilot in his right mind would attempt an incommunicado instrument
approach in an aircraft with working radios.  I am saying that it is
*possible* to fly IFR without a radio and without radar, so the claim that
people who fix that stuff keep pilots alive is bullshit.

I never so much as insinuated that I would try such a thing, so your
"perfectly content" comment is reminiscent of Otto Sauer - as was
your claim
that the Army is short of helicopter pilots.
