Hi Ivy,
One of the many things from my mom's Estate (KB6QAR) was a couple of
Motorola HT 90 Radios, Rockbound, w/PL & Shoulder Mike, standard BNC antenna
Connects (for attaching to external antennas via coax) and 5 Watts output.
Works, has two Battery Packs, one nearly new, one Fair (about 6 hours on
standby on the Fair one, 10 on the Good one), and already tuned for the 440
MHZ Band. Current Rocks are for the 440.300 repeater splits and the 448.925
repeater splits. Current Tone is 118.8 (Jan Crystal charges $11 for the
rocks) and Many , many, many hams have and some will trade the PL "Combs" for
one you need or want.
The one drawback to this radio is the charger for it needs one diode
replaced, and before long, the transformer. OR you can simply set a jack into
the battery pack and use a 12vdc wall bump charger, as many do. I would ask
only $25.00 + shipping for the HT & $35.00 if HT & Charger wanted. These two
radios, your choice, two channel or two channel (hihi) were manufactured in
May 1990 by Motorola.
