    It was a movie they made nearly 50 years and it was based on
    The Tales Of Uncle Remus about a freed slave in The Late 1800's
    who tells children stories.
    Afro-American Activists felt it gave a negative portrayal of
    blacks in The 19th Century. They were not treated as equals
    back then and since Disney never wants to "offend" any race.
    The movie is no longer shown except in Japan which is on
    Laser-Disc.
