I know you've probably heard it before, but for an extra 10-25 bucks
you could have avoided all the headaches of the software RPI crap...
The new USR model that uses RPI includes a Windows driver that will
allow the use of any Windows based communications program, and you
won't be limited to the one(s) that come with the modem itself.
(I wouldn't be suprised to see this thing on BBS's everywhere
also, a shareware/freeware driver that does the same thing is
probably also either available or soon-to-be from someone...)
