Is there any way of detecting if you are window, > or full screen in os/2? and Is there any way of redefining > the character when you're windowed? PR> DOS applications can redefine the VGA character set in a Virtual DOS Machine on OS/2 exactly the same way as they do in DOS. OS/2 full-screen text-mode applications can redefine the VGA character set using the VIO API, documented in the OS/2 Developers' Toolkit 1.3, that is supplied on the Developer Connection CD-ROM. Due to the nature of the display hardware itself, redefining the VGA character set *only* affects text mode (i.e. a full-screen DOS or OS/2 session). When the display is in graphics mode (i.e. a Presentation Manager session, or a windowed session), hardware character definitions are (obviously) ignored. > JdeBP < ___ X MegaMail 2.10 #0: --- Maximus/2 3.00* Origin: DoNoR/2,Woking UK (44-1483-725167) (2:440/4) SEEN-BY: 270/101 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 807 808 809 934 955 712/407 SEEN-BY: 712/515 517 628 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 440/4 141/209 270/101 712/515 711/808 809 934 |
