| subject: | CD-ROM control programming |
I'm interested in reading the raw sectors off CD-ROMs. I know that certain CD-ROM readers are capable of this and can be controlled using an ASPI command called something like "READ_RAW". I looked up information about ASPI, and the advice was that you are better off talking to the OS/2 .ADD rather than ASPI if you are only programming for OS/2. So my question is, how can I find out information about reading raw sectors from a CD-ROM by talking to the .ADD. Where should I be looking? All hints appreciated! simeon --- FleetStreet 1.10 NR* Origin: Home of MyZ80 (3:640/236) SEEN-BY: 620/243 632/348 640/101 201 206 208 217 236 241 301 305 371 814 820 SEEN-BY: 640/821 822 823 690/660 711/409 410 413 430 807 808 809 934 949 955 SEEN-BY: 712/515 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 640/236 208 820 711/409 808 809 934 |
