RB> I think you all have this ill-gotten notion that my opinions on things
RB> come
RB> solely from my experiences in trying to find a job. They don't. As I've
RB> said,
RB> yes, I hate my job, but who doesn't, and I don't really expect to be
RB> making $10
RB> an hour the rest of my life. But that is inconsequential, when I see
RB> people at
RB> work who are twice my age or even thrice my age, being a janitor,
getting
RB> ripped off by their boss, etc.
Golly, I must be odd - I've always enjoyed what I do. Matter of fact, I
can't
imagine another field that would tolerate some of my personal eccentricities,
pay me what I make in spite of a lack of formal education in these areas, and
supply me with such wonderful toys. There are plenty of people who don't
hate
their jobs, and not all of them are millionaires.
RB> You might say, "ah, those people just have a bad attitude" or whatever
RB> other
RB> feel-good crap you think will make you free, but the fact is that
someone
RB> will
RB> always be the janitor, someone will always work the crap jobs so you
RB> don't have
RB> to think about it. A large group of people will *always* be poor,
because
RB> that's the way it *must* be. Maybe it won't be me, then again, maybe it
RB> will be.
You can rest assured that a lot of it will be as a result of decisions that
you make for yourself.
RB> I'll tell you this, if and when I do make enough money to not be
RB> struggling, I
RB> certainly won't rub it in everyone else's face, telling them how much
RB> smarter
RB> and what a harder worker I am. I will be able to see it for what it is.
This I gotta see.
