'Tis just that they're OLD standards...  ;]

  So, you're saying that Firebase1, Amiga Valley, WoodStock and the ilk are
miserable failures of BBSes?  I would seriously thinking about putting my
money up front (if I had any) in saying that WoodStock is a helluva better
$$$-earner than THG!

  AND that it's soooooo simple to set up that an absolute novice at BBSing
can set it up and expect it to run...

  AND that the users absolutely LOVE the interface...

  AND that as it's in assembly it's bloody FAST...

  Believe me, it DOES have a lot of good points.  Remember, 'tis basically
only in mail handling that it falls down and not every SysOp considers mail
to be the end-all and be-all of a BBS!  ;]
