Hi Debbie,
I just got a Indian Ringneck a while back, so I figured I would join
in on this one, since I think I can judge noise fairly well. Besides
breeding Tiel's & Bourkes, I have as pets a macaw, a cockatoo, an
amazon and a T-Grey, I don't find the ringnecks noisey at all. At
least in decimal not much more than a couple tiel's. I got my
ringneck in the hopes of future breeding, as it is domestic, but
not handfed or tame, and it is now about 7-8 mos old (without looking
at my records a guess) Now if you are concerned about noise, macaws
and too's can be very noisey. My amazon rarely ever screams justs
talks alot. I don't think ringnecks, judging by mine even have a
set time of day, like the too's. My too' loves sunset, which sets
off my macaw. But a room of tiel's can get kinda loud too. So
I say go for it, because with my experience they are alot less
noisey than the conure family, and as I mentioned a few tiels in
the same room. Good luck. Any idea of what color you are looking
at, are you considering future breeding?
