Song of the South was released to theaters in the mid 40's. It's a full
length Disney feature that has some live action as well as animation, and is
basically "The tales of Uncle Reums".
The movie is available on a Japanese laserdisc, but it hasn't been released
in the USA yet. The reason is that Disney feels that the public feels the
movie may ascribe inadvertant stereotyping to the black characters of the
movie, and they don't want the controversy. But in truth, no such
stereotyping does occur.
Check out laserdisc stores in your area; you should be able to find the disc
for about $75.00 or so.
