I dont have Firewire myself but it may be worth checking out firewire.netlabs.org.

I understand that IBM do have an IP6 stack for AIX and the OS/2 32bit
TCP/IP Stack (v4.2+) is a direct port from AIX, so with a subscriber
account to OS/2 at IBM you may be in luck.
