Thanks Deb! That's pretty much what i've heard about them too...
the few that i've encountered have tiny little sweet voices but
they're quite clear and easy to understand. I like how lively &
playful they are. Right now i have only (oh i'm glad he can't
read!) an African Grey... he doesn't screech or scream, so the
only thing that another bird would pick up would be his talking.
A couple breeders and pet shops i've talked to have their lories
on a pelleted diet so the nectar (and liquid "squirts") are not
a big problem. I've put out an APB on this echo for anyone who
might have owned one who could fill me in. Thanks for the res-
ponse.
