This all started when I mentioned I had a 283 distributor in my 350 and that
the springs in it were rather OLD and I probably should replace them. From
there I quoted the manufacturing dates from a book I had and that said that
the 283 was made from '62 to '67, which I later found out was entirely wrong.
I didn't mean for this to stretch into a 3+ week argument over the 283.
If you want to drop this argument please do so.
