(Continued from previous message) as obvious as A=B when used right and you really understand them. BL> VB on the other hand is rigidly structured, and it BL> is relatively easy to read someone else's program. Yes, and you are much more limited too. And at times with some work you can find that what you have to do in VB takes multiple lines to do what can be done a very succinct and obvious to a fluent C reader. BL> C is more fun than a good game of Russian Roulette. DB> With six bullets! :-) :-) BL> This is the general attitude... that C is wonderfully quirky. BL> If I want a quirk, I can make one myself. C is a lousy tool; BL> like a hammer with a loose handle. Nope, just Bob doesnt understand its fundamental philosophy. Its meant as a step up above assembler, much more succinct and readable than assembler, and hardly limiting you at all. Its not meant to be a trainer wheels language which limits what you can do to get more safety. Coz those trainer wheels are a fucking pain in the arse when you dont need them. --- PQWK202* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
