I agree.

For the OP, since he seems not really want the original, and all these
(also unlicensed) products often also have recent CPUs and run an
emulator for the C64, why not save the money and get an emulator. For the
Commodore 64 there is VICE for example

But if you want hardware, grab a *real* C64 from Goodwill, EBay or where
ever they are offered instead.
