| subject: | Re: Hard drive suggestions |
From: "Ned F. Reiter" George, I'm not going to go Raid immediately, that's for later. I've ordered a WD 120GB drive w/8MB cache this morning from harddrive.com for $162. If I get it set up correctly, then I may get a second one and put them both on the HPT channels. I'm going to try putting the new drive on one channel of the HPT for formatting and copying, then move it to the primary IDE master position for booting and copying the other drives partitions. There is only one SCSI device in my system, an HP9600+ CD R/W drive. The HPT370 is IDE. -- -- Ned -- nreiter_AT_attglobal_DOT_net Association of Shareware Professionals developer member http://www.asp-shareware.org/ "Geo." wrote in message news:3e4e6780{at}w3.nls.net... > Sounds right to me, the only other thing you need to watch out for is > drivers for the disk interface.
