RC> The first thing that occurs whenever that sort of thing happens to me is to ask myself "what intermediate file?", and "what error?". Usually, IBM's tools query the TMP and TEMP environment variables for a place to store temporary files. You may find that you have run out of disc space in your temporary directory, that your temporary directory doesn't exist, or some other file access problem has caused this error. On the other hand, you may find that IBM VisualAge C++ was, for some reason, unable to invoke the intermediate linker. In which case check that you installed VisualAge C++ correctly, and that there aren't any environment variables, directories, or DLLs missing. On the gripping hand, you may find that you've found yet another bug in IBM VisualAge C++ with little-used compiler options in combination causing the compiler to go haywire. Precompiled headers and DirectToSOM C++ cause it to die horribly with a SYS3175 4 out of every 5 times, I have found, so I had to stop using precompiled headers. > JdeBP < ___ X MegaMail 2.10 #0: --- Maximus/2 3.00* Origin: DoNoR/2,Woking UK (44-1483-725167) (2:440/4) SEEN-BY: 270/101 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 807 808 809 934 955 712/407 SEEN-BY: 712/515 517 628 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 440/4 141/209 270/101 712/515 711/808 809 934 |
