  The redbooks may be what you are after ... or they may not be.

  Certainly IBM publishes a vast array of literature about OS/2, not
  just programming references by technical manuals too.

  They are available in printed form, but the cheapest means of
  obtaining them (since the Online Book Collection CD-ROM was
  discontinued) is no doubt the Developer Connection CD-ROMs.

  I don't have the latest volume of the DevCon CDs myself, so I cannot
  help you with specifics.  Undoubtedly someone here who has will be
  able to let you know whether the technical manuals on the DevCon will
  be suitable for what you want to know.

  There are, of course, many documents floating around the FIDONET
  filebones that list the trap and SYS31xx codes and describe their
  meanings in detail.  You may do well to have a look at the files list
  of your nearest quality OS/2 files site.
