OK, over.

The building where I have been serving as
resident caretaker has been sold. At
present, reliable rumor has it that the
new owner wants the revenue-producing tennants,
mostly music and dance teachers, to stay on.
Since my arrangement has been strictly in-kind,
my results may differ. Meetings are supposed to
occur later this week with the new owner, who
presumably will want to avoid losing money on
the building the way the old owner did. If
he wants me to pay rent to do more upkeep
work while living in a compartment which was
never intended as a residence (basement, center
of building-no windows-heat & a.c., but the
thermostat is in a distant part of the bldg.) I
don't think its going to work. In this case,
I can likely buy a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo
and (photo tie-in) use one bathroom as a
darkroom and one bedroom as a workshop/
studio. The future looks like its going to be
darned inconvenient.
