PE> Today I saw a problem. My modem went to dial Dave (has been doing PE> this every 3 minutes since 6am) and I could see the AA light go on, PE> meaning there was an incoming call. The result? My modem didn't PE> see a dialtone, so returned with "NO DIALTONE". The person who called PE> me wasted their call. What I really want is for a "NO DIALTONE" to PE> trigger a "ANSWER THE FUCKING THING". You know, I think I can probably PE> do that, because I can't actually hang up on the caller can I? So PE> long as they stay on the line, it will give my software a chance to PE> say "whoops, let's see if we can get them again", and send an ATA to PE> the modem??? Yeah, its completely routine and most BBSs that dial out allow for that case like that. I think Dave reads this echo, but if he doesnt give you the Bink config, ask him directly. --- PQWK202* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
