DO> Yeas it was a serious question..

i hadda ask, ya know :)

DO> RA was a great bbs package in it's day. And i do understand what
DO> your saying about support with freeware packages.

i think i remember you from back in the day... it has been a long time...

DO> But im not sure how RA is now, but last time i looked it lacked
DO> long filename support & no telnet inferface.. As well as no Web
 DO> interface.

true... but are those really really really necessary? i would say that
answer would depend on what you want to do... my RA has been on the
internet since about 1994 with no problems... it looks a operates exactly
like the DOS dialup version... ya just use telnet to get to it...

DO> Now if the authors of RA would add these up-to-date functions i'm
DO> sure it would be a much better package.

i'm sure it might make it more enticing to others, yes... however, i'd have
to wonder what i'd loose with those additions...

DO> As far as elebbs goes. there is still support and most of the bugs
DO> we have encountered have been fixed..

i've thought a few times about looking at elebbs or even the web interface
which i understand will also work with a RA backend... sadly, though, i'm
running a beta of RA and the data structures have changed a bit and i don't
think that the ele web interface will work properly with what i'm
running...

my question is... is there still (?) an OS/2 native compile of elebbs? warp
3 connect compatibility preferred...

DO> Anyway each to his own :)

that's what makes the world go around! O:)
