I got told this tip in a Bargello class I took. Depending on what I am
sewing
I use it all the time now. I thought it to be a great tip also!

Wow! You must have a neat library and librarian. Mine would have kittens if
I tried to cut out my quilts in the library! G,D, &RVF!! :) Don't be
cared
of it Wanda! You know how to sew a straight line now (the mole foam helps
assure that) and you do know how to use a ruler to cut straight lines don't
you?
Hmm, you are working with T-shirts, right? Here is another tip that might
help you. Before you begin cutting wash the T-shirts and the other fabric
that you are going to use. Before you start the washer get a Downey Ball
(the kind you put fabric softener in) and fill to the line with liquid
starch. Wash as usual and dry. The starch helps to make the fabric easier
to iron and easier to cut. With T-shirts you will probably need this. Good
luck with it!
You will do fine!
Later!,
Pat
