It is called !speed.zip. Got it a long time ago off a board here that is
no longer in existence.
CB> Is it freqable? ftpable? Tell me more..
I will try to get someone to talk me thru the 'freq' setup here. I haven't
set that up on my board but from time to time I run into something some
one else needs. I'll keep this message on hold and get back to you, OK?
CB> Architecture limited?
It works a lot better on 386's than 486's although there is some improvement
with a 486. My brother runs it on his 486 and it increases the capabilities
about 15 %.
On My 386dx40 it doubles the memory access times and all that other good
stuff but of course, the access of periferals are still the same due to
the 'bus route'.
CB> How does max work with it? Other utils?
Everything I've tried works very well with it. It has a benchmark built-in
so you can test it 'before and after'.
I just write all the numbers down and compare after the install. Works Great!
As I said, the utility tells me this 386DX40 is running like a 486. Not too
bad for software modification.
I'm not all that up on the technical end of it,but perhaps you are and can
see how it operates when you get it.
Thanks for the message, and I'll let you know how to get it soon.
Ken
