JR>NP>I don't remember seeing anything in the magazines prior to the election
JR> >that made it clear that (a) there was an election, (b) these are the

hey
JR> >stand on things.
JR>NP>Now some of this, heck all of this, may well have been in the
agazines.
JR> >But if it was, it was in such a way that it wasn't clear to me. And
'm
JR> >a pretty good reader of the hunting magazine.
JR>I can't agree with you on this. My ballot came inside my
JR>American Rifleman, clearly marked as the NRA Election issue.
JR>Besides the removable ballot & envelope, 4-5 pages were devoted
JR>to the candidates and their bio's. I'll admit that the bio's
JR>generally didn't give you a good feel on where they stood on
JR>various issue, just more of the been there, done this, history.
JR>I can't buy the didn't know about the election excuse for not
JR>voting. JR
Those of us who have not been members for 5 *continuous* years
did not get the ballot or election information. I've been a
member for ages, but let my membership lapse once within the last
5 years. They gave me a new member number, and sold my
name/address to direct-mailers. They say they don't sell MEMBER
names to mailers, but they do sell EX-MEMBER names to mailers!
Even if you re-up, and are at the same address!
