Yoo Hoo, John!
On June 14th '97 you wrote to me:
JG> Rich, I was wondering if you got my netmail.
No, I didn't. I got Internet e-mail from David Mehrman, aka Jammet,
about it, though.

Well, as we replied back to David, we want this echo to be more about
talking about Disney rather than a place for buying/selling/trading
collectibles.
John, don't you moderate the FidoNet Collectibles echo? If you don't,
I know that such an echo exists. We feel that is the better place for
what you'd like to do here.
Carol and I don't mind folks talking here in general about Disney
collectibles and Disney merchandise, such as "I just saw the coolest
thing at the Disney Store", etc. But we don't want people putting
messages up about what collectibles they have for others to buy or
trade. The Collectibles echo is the better place for messages like
that.
We also think that anyone can talk about the Official Disneyana
Conventions that Disney runs or even the N.F.F.C. conventions, but
not if the messages are about buying/selling/trading -- only if they
are about the convention experience and/or what one sees there, in
general.
JG> I also proposed an experiment so you could see for yourself the

JG> experience moderating national echos. And I replied to some of your
JG> points, too. But as I said, I never got an answer to the ideas I
JG> forwarded, and I would still like one -- IF you got my mail.
No, we never got the netmail, but it seems to be working in general.
We don't want to try an experiment like you suggest. The Collectibles
echo is the better place for something like that.
JG> Me thinkist thou ist not receiving mine netmails!
JG>
JG> P.S. Remember, I have no internet access at present, so I can't write
JG> you there.
We'd rather keep this echo based on talking about Disney things
rather than messages with content about collectibles for sale
or trade.
BTW, I'm sending this message to you both on the Disney Echo and via
private FidoNet e-mail.
From Carol, Co-Moderator: I concur with what Rich said above. :-) The public
discussion of this topic is hereby closed. Let's see how it goes as Rich
outlined above for awhile, OK? :-) I want to reiterate, however, that Rich
and I are available via Fidonet or Internet E-mail if anyone wants to discuss
or bring up anything... we do have an open door policy. We truly received
no E-mails via Fidonet from John, but that may be due to the infamous and
hungry Fidonet doggie eating the message(s?), it's not an uncommon occurance
for some Fidonet E-mails to be lost. Our contact information is below.
Thanks, and take care, all!
