 Yeah, ANSI can be hard on those used to glossy HTML and Java doodads.
 But it's a lot faster too.  Everyone complains about how slow the net
 can be.  That's generally _not_ a problem with BBSs, and it's one of
 the strong points we can/should emphasize, IMO.

 I only ever got RIP to work *once* during a test call to my system...
 was hard enough finding someone who had a RIP-capable term program,
 and harder still convincing them to let me watch over their shoulder.
 The fun part was watching the RIP protocol lock up and crash the board
 with me 45 minutes away.  :(
 Crashing seemed to be par for the course with RIP

 I think Robby Dittmann carries the feed... so I am hesitant to burden
 our mutual mail feed with having to send the same files to two boards
 -or I'd have hooked up already!  :)
