...calmed down......
-=> Bob Moylan said *this*?
BM> Ketira (On 17 May 97) was overheard expounding to Mark Probert
K > WELL, since you are running this echo --or so it seems like--, I guess
K > I am NOT WELCOME here.
BM> This is NOT a flame... but don't you recognize this as somewhat
BM> typical ADHD behavior??
On who's part? His? No...... Mine? Well, maybe; I *have* been diagnosed
with ADD, and I know that my *mind* is still hyper.
K > One of the tips for ADDers is: if you're not welcome, DON'T STAY!
BM> Still not flaming ... but that's your perception I didn't read "go
BM> away" in anything he said...
"That was then, this is now; the moment is never the same twice." (Kethry,
one of the characters in Mercedes Lackey's book _Oathbreakers_)
BM> I don't think your (threatened) departure will cause Mark, or anyone
BM> else, unbounded joy and/or happiness. The echo is _not_ only for
BM> those with ADD/ADHD but parents, friends, professionals, interested
BM> others or even those with just a passing curiosity..
BM> Please...take a deep breath ... count to 10 ... and think about it
BM> again..
Well...... If you're the gent who has been chatting with me on AOL about
this, I *have* thought it over. When it comes to anger, I'm like a
volcano: I blow for oh....... somewhere between 10 seconds and 10 minutes
(the longest being 30 minutes), then I cool down & I'm fine again. I
realize that I need to work on this, and I *am* working on this with
my therapist.
I *may* end up putting him on my twit list (*nice* feature of BlueWave),
but I think I'll stay and maybe see if I *can* help others for a while
longer.
Why?
Because, after getting *his* reply in email (in *both* email boxes--that
wasn't necessary), I went through it all over again: I got hurt, then
got angry..... but then, I got a deja-vu feeling. It felt as if I'd been
in this situation before, and I have. Mark reminds me of *bullies* who
get ADHD folk mad just to get them in trouble.
Well, I've decided that I'm *not* going for it. His *opinion* of me may
not be pretty, but I'm not going to give it any thought. The only opinion
about my character that *really* matters is God's, and I *know* that S/HE
loves me.
BM> ... a good and sometimes strange sense of humor is mandatory
Strange sense of humor? I've got that. But a *good* sense of humor? I
don't know.......... :>
Blessings,
T. Wirs
p.s. to Mark: if you want to argue about it, take it to email --and only
ONE address this time. I'd rather not upset the other NICE folk in here
with our bickering.
