Hi Sean,

RH> We were members of AARP for a bit, until we found out their political
RH> stance. It disagreed with ours so we dropped it.

SD> Have you looked into AMAC (Association of Mature American Citizens)?
 SD> I'm a member. https://amac.us

We've heard Mark Levin talk about it but just not yet gotten around to
checking it out for ourselves. It sounds like one we'd be more likely to
join.

SD> On topic, I have been doing a lot of cooking lately and enjoying it a
 SD> lot.

We've been cooking this week for our mission team while up in VT.
Tonight I made penne pasta with a bolinase sauce, garlic bread (boughten
made, just needed heating) and a salad based on the one we had in
Fairbanks. Just a bit of salad was left when we came out to the camper
about 90 minutes after supper ended. We're getting more rain, with more
flooding possible as I type.

SD> I've been thinking about trying this:

 SD> Title: Alaska Salmon Chowder
 SD> Categories: Soups, Fish
 SD> Yield: 6 Servings

 SD> 7 1/2 oz Canned Alaska salmon
 SD> 1/2 c Chopped onions
 SD> 1/2 c Chopped celery
 SD> 1 Garlic clove; minced
 SD> 2 tb Margarine
 SD> 1 c Diced potatoes
 SD> 1 c Diced carrots
 SD> 2 c Low salt chicken broth
 SD> 1/2 ts Thyme
 SD> 1/4 ts Black pepper
 SD> 1/2 c Chopped broccoli
 SD> 13 oz Low-fat evaporated milk
SD> 10 oz Frozen corn kernels; thawed
 SD> Minced parsley

Looks good but we'll have to leave out the corn. I'm still a bit "fished
out" from all the salmon we had in Alaska but should get over it fairly
soon. (G)

... One of these days, I'll quit procrastinating.
