Hi Graeme,

I'm sure Pete doesn't mind REXX questions. You might like to ask your
sysop (yourself?) to obtain the OS2REXX echo for you, where we
specialise in this sort of thing.

Well, it's all in the preparation. If you have pre-allocated the
spaces in each record when you wrote out the file to create it, you can
use the STREAM built-in function with the SEEK command to write bytes
in the exact location within the file. Have a read of your REXX.INF on
this function.
