05.09.04 | "Point Of View" With Brent Mason

Thanks to Bill Banks for the warm welcome in the introduction to last
week's column. Is it me or have the warmer temperatures brought out
all this tremendous action at the Asylum? Well, this week I return to
argue topics surrounding the World Heavyweight title picture and TNA's
version of Sybil.

Are 3Live Kru's actions getting out of hand?

For: B. G. James and Konnan have been lobbying to get their partner
Ron "The Truth" Killings a title shot and along the way they have
pushed their way on camera, called out Director of Authority Vince
Russo, and are the top suspects to who destroyed the locker room last
week. All of these men have history with Vince Russo and bringing that
to attention as these standouts on the mic continue to push for a
chance for gold. 3LK's actions got them thrown out of the building on
Wednesday. This is clearly a sign of things getting out of hand.

Against: As a group, you have to stick together, and the guys from 3LK
know how to do just that. Egos are pushed to the side for a common
goal - Respect and Gold. Understandably upset with the outcome of The
Truth's title show against A. J. Styles, they still strive for being
the best in the company. Whoever destroyed the locker room, that's
neither here nor there, the Kru, or rather B.G. James has "the Alpha
Male" to look forward to this week.

Is being a fighting champion going to catch up to A.J. Styles?
For: A.J. Styles has put his title on the line the past two weeks in
battles against Ron "The Truth" Killings and Raven. Next week the belt
is on the line against Wildcat Chris Harris. And don't forget, he won
the title only three weeks ago in a steel cage against Jeff Jarrett.
This schedule has to be rough on a champion and the question is, can
he keep this up? There's a chance, with one lose, the champ could fall
back down the mountain. If not for Chris Harris', I mean La Parka's,
interference, Raven would have fulfilled his destiny Wednesday night.

Against: Styles is the only Triple Crown winner in NWA-TNA (World
Heavyweight, X Division & Tag Team champ). He knows how to get it done
in whichever division he is in. This young champion is riding on a
full tank and should have enough to take on challengers well past this
weeks match with the Wildcat. If you want to show what it takes as
being the number 1 guy in this company, you have to compete. If this
means the belt is on the line, then that's what's got to happen.

Goldylocks- Misunderstood Genius or Raving Pyscho?
For: Goldylocks is on her way to leading the monster Abyss to top of
the TNA ranks. Abyss had two different ladies, a business lady and
Latino hothead before Goldylocks entered his picture. It's said to be
believed that Goldylocks was in disguise as the two ladies, but it's
clear she wasn't. Erik Watts has returned claiming Goldylocks is crazy
and she kept calling him while he was gone from TNA. She has no time
to call the former Director of Authority; she's been busying handling
the duties of Abyss. Watts attempted to chokeslam her, with Abyss
making the save for his manager. That's no way to treat a lady.

Against: Goldy is clearly on her way to the nut house as she tries to
lead Abyss to the promise land. For some reason, she has managed to
control the monster in chains. Evidence of this control was Wednesday
as Abyss choked Watts with the chain as she yelled out madly. We've
seen this blond have "conversations" on a cell phone screaming at Erik
Watts for breaking up with her. Goldylocks, now more than ever, should
take some time off and clear her head and get over Erik Watts.
